Tempting Turkey Tetrazzini

List of Ingredients
- 1 pkg (7 oz) spaghetti
- 2 cups chicken or turkey broth
- 2 cups 1/2 & 1/2 or milk
- 1/2 cup flour
- 1/4 cup margarine or butter
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp pepper
- 2 cups cut-up cooked turkey or chicken
- 1 cup sliced ripe olives
- 1/2 cup slivered almonds
- 1/2 cup shredded Cheddar cheese
Instructions
- Cook and drain spaghetti as directed on package. Rinse with cold water; drain.
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
- Mix broth, 1/2 & 1/2, flour, margarine, salt and pepper in 3 quart saucepan. Heat to boiling over medium heat, stirring constantly. Boil and stir 1 minute.
- Stir in spaghetti, turkey, olives and almonds. Spread in ungreased 2 quart casserole. Sprinkle with cheese.
- Bake uncovered 25 to 30 minutes or until hot and bubbly.
Final Comments
*Need a shortcut? Omit steps 3 and 4 and make a quick sauce by mixing 1 can each (10 3/4 oz) condensed cream of mushroom and cream of chicken soup, 3/4 cup milk and 2 T dry white wine or chicken broth in casserole. Stir in spaghetti, turkey, olives and almonds, and sprinkle with cheese before baking.
