• 1/2 c. butter, softened
  
• 1 c. brown sugar
  
• 1 c. light molasses
  
• 1 egg, beaten
  
• 4 c. flour
  
• 1/4 tsp. salt
  
• 1 tsp. baking soda
  
• 1 tsp. cinnamon
  
• 1 tsp. ground cloves
  
• 1/2 tsp. nutmeg
  






Instructions



1. Cream butter and sugar.
   
2. Blend in molasses and eggs.
   
3. Sift dry ingredients together and stir into molasses-egg mixture.
   
4. Roll out dough on lightly floured board and cut into shapes with cookie cutters.
   
5. Bake on greased cookie sheets in 350 degrees oven for 10 to 12 minutes.
