- 1-1/4 cups butter, softened
- 1-1/4 cups firmly packed dark brown sugar
- 1 cup sugar
- 3 eggs
- 1-1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 2-3/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1-1/2 teaspoons baking soda
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 3 cups uncooked quick-cooking oats
- 2 cups (12 ounces) semisweet chocolate chunks
- 1 cup coarsely chopped pecans
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°.
- In a large mixing bowl, beat butter at medium speed with an electric mixer until creamy. Gradually add sugars, beating well. Add eggs and vanilla, beating well.
- In a separate bowl, combine flour, baking soda, and salt; gradually add to butter mixture, beating until blended. Stir in oats, chocolate chunks, and pecans. Drop cookies by 1/4 cupfuls onto lightly greased baking sheets.
- Bake for 10 to 12 minutes, or until lightly browned. Let cool for 2 minutes on baking sheets. Remove to wire racks to cool completely.
