Oaty Chocolate Chunk Cookies

List of Ingredients
- 1 cup plus 2 Tbsp unsalted butter, softened
- 3⁄4 cup packed light brown sugar
- 1⁄2 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1⁄2 tsp salt
- 1 3⁄4 cups flour
- 2 1⁄2 cups old-fashioned or quick oats
- 3⁄4 cup each chocolate chunks and plain M&Ms
- 1 cup pecans, chopped
Instructions
- Heat oven to 375F. Beat butter and sugars in a bowl with mixer on medium speed until fluffy. in eggs, vanilla, baking soda and salt until blended.
- With mixer on low speed, beat in flour to blend. Stir in oats, 1⁄2 cup each of chocolate and M&Ms, and 3⁄4 cup of pecans.
- Drop heaping Tbsps (or use a small cookie dough scooper) 1 in. apart onto ungreased baking sheets. Stick the remaining chocolate chunks, Ms and pecans into tops of cookies.
- Bake 10 to 12 minutes until golden brown. Cool 1 minute on baking sheet, then remove to a wire rack to cool.
