Meatball Sandwiches

- 1 egg
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
- 2 cloves garlic, minced OR 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 cup chopped onion
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 pound ground turkey
- 1/2 cup bread crumbs
- 1/3 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 can (16 ounces) tomato sauce
- 2 tablespoons red wine vinegar
- 8 hoagie-type sandwich rolls, split and warmed
- shredded mozzarella cheese
Instructions
- Combine egg, salt, Italian seasoning, red pepper flakes, garlic, chopped onion, beef, turkey, bread crumbs and Parmesan cheese; mix well. Shape mixture into small balls and brown in a skillet; drain well.
- Transfer meatballs to crockpot. Combine tomato sauce and wine vinegar; pour over top of meatballs. Cover; cook on low for 6 hrs. Serve meatballs on hoagie rolls topped with sauce and shredded cheese.
