Mushroom Beef Stew

List of Ingredients
- 1 pound sirloin, cubed, trimmed of fat
- 2 tablespoons flour
- 1 tablespoon canola oil
- 1 large onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 pound button mushrooms, sliced
- 2 ribs celery, sliced
- 3 large carrots, sliced
- 4 large potatoes, cubed
- 2 teaspoons seasoning salt
- 1 can (14 1/2 oz. size) beef stock
- 1 cup good red wine
Instructions
- Dredge sirloin in flour and brown in oil in skillet. Reserve drippings. Place meat in slow cooker.
- Saute onion, garlic, and mushrooms in drippings just until soft. Add to meat. Add all remaining ingredients.
- Cover. Cook on low 6 hours.
- Test to see if veggies. are tender. If not, continue cooking on low for another 1 to 1 1/2 hours. Serve with crusty bread.
