    Slow Cooked Smothered Chicken

    • 1 can condensed cream of mushroom soup
    • 1/2 soup can of milk
    • 2 tsp minced garlic
    • 1 tsp dried thyme, crumbled
    • 1 tsp paprika
    • 1 bay leaf
    • 1 large onion, sliced crosswise into 1/4" slices
    • 1 rotisserie chicken, cut into serving pieces
    • 1 (6 oz) pkg sliced mushrooms


    Instructions


    1. To make the sauce, stir everything but chicken, onions, and mushroom in a bowl until combined, being careful not to break the bay leaf.
    2. Place the onion in the crockpot, followed by the chicken and mushrooms. Pour the sauce over the chicken and cook on low for 4 to 5 hours, until the flavors have blended and the sauce is thick and bubbly. Remove the bay leaf and discard. Serve over hot rice.
