Pumpkin Gingerbread

- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 1/2 cup canned pumpkin
- 2 tsp baking soda
- 1 tsp ground cloves
- 1 tsp ground ginger
- 1/2 cup butter, softened
- 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup unsulfured molasses
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- 3/4 cup water
Instructions
- Cream sugar and butter together.
- Add 2 cups of flour alternately with pumpkin and molasses.
- Beat in eggs.
- Mix spices with remaining flour and alternately with water, starting with flour and ending with flour.
- Bake in 350 degree oven in 11" x 14" x 3" well greased baking pan for 35 minutes.
- Serve hot with whipped cream.
