List of Ingredients
- 5 egg yolks
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 2 cups 2% milk
- 1 cup light cream
- 1/2 cup sliced almonds
- 2 tsps almond extract
Instructions
- Mix egg yolks and sugar. Beat until thick and light yellow in color.
- In a saucepan, heat the milk to a simmer. Add half of the heated milk to the egg yolks and blend together. Add the remaining milk. Cook on low, stirring frequently, 5 minutes.
- Remove from heat and add the cream.
- Chill the mixture until cold; stir in the almonds and almond extract. Process in an ice cream maker following machine directions.
