    Chocolate Gelato

    List of Ingredients


    • 3 cups 2% milk, divided
    • 3/4 cup unsweetened chocolate chips
    • 2/3 cup confectioners' sugar
    • 1 1/2 T cornstarch


    Instructions


    1. In a saucepan, simmer 2 cups milk over medium heat.

    2. Meanwhile, stir the remaining milk, chocolate chips, confectioners' sugar and cornstarch in a bowl.

    3. Put the chocolate chip mixture into the hot milk. Stir frequently until the mixture becomes thick around the edges. Boil and stir for 1 more minute. Put in a bowl and cool. Cover and chill overnight.

    4. Process in an ice-cream maker following machine directions.
