List of Ingredients
- 2 lbs hamburger
- salt/pepper to taste
- 1 envelope dry onion soup mix
- 1 envelope brown gravy
- 1 cup flour
- 1 small onion (sliced thin - rings)
- Water
- Egg Noodles
Instructions
- Crumble hamburger meat into large bowl, add salt and pepper and dry onion soup mix. Mix well and shape into patties.
- Empty dry brown gravy mix into a shallow dish, put cup of flour into another dish. Put patty (one at a time)into the dish with brown gravy and cover both sides then do same in the flour. (you might have to
put a little bit of water onto your patties - just a little) Pat them down to get gravy and flour to stick. Do this for all hamburger patties. You should have a little bit of the brown gravy mix left in the bowl - add a spoon of the flour to the gravy mix and set aside.
- Fry each patty in a deep frying pan w/ lid. Turn over to cook other side, and add the thinly sliced onion - continue to cook until patties are done.
Remove patties and onions and drain on paper towel - pour out grease, but leave any stuff stuck on bottom of pan!
- Take the bowl with the brown gravy mix and flour and
add about 1 cup of cold water. Stir well to remove any big lumps. Place patties and onions back in pan, and add water/gravy mixture. Cover and let
simmer until gravy thickens. (About 7-12 minutes) Serve over cooked egg noodles.
