Spicy Grilled Beef

List of Ingredients
- 1/2 cup coarsely chopped tomatoes
- 1 T crushed red chili pepper
- 1 T crushed garlic
- 1 shallot, finely chopped
- 1/2 tsp turmeric
- 1 tsp grated ginger
- salt, to taste
- 2 T vegetable oil
- 1/4 cup finely chopped cilantro
- 2 lbs lean beef
- 1/2 cup finely chopped green onions
Instructions
- Place the tomatoes, chili pepper, garlic, shallots, turmeric, ginger, and salt in a blender. Blend on high speed until smooth. Heat the oil in a pan. Stir-fry the cilantro for 2 minutes. Gently stir in the mixture from the blender and cook for an additional 2 minutes. Reduce temperature to low, cover and keep warm.
- Cut the meat into 1" strips. Cook the meat over hot coals. When the meat is done, cover it with the sauce and garnish with green onions.
