    Stroganoff Meat Loaf


    List of Ingredients


    • 2 eggs, beaten
    • 1 1/3 cups milk
    • 1 cup quick-cooking rolled oats
    • 3/4 cup chopped onion
    • 1 T Worcestershire sauce
    • 2 1/4 tsp salt
    • 1/2 tsp pepper
    • 3 lbs ground beef
    • 3 (4 oz) cans chopped mushrooms, drained (you can use fresh mushrooms)
    • 1 cup sour cream


    Instructions


    1. In large bowl, combine eggs and milk. Stir in oats, onion, Worcestershire sauce, salt and pepper. Add beef; mix well.
    2. Pat about 1/4 meat mixture into two 8" x 4" loaf pans. Make a shallow depression lengthwise down center.
    3. In small bowl, combine mushrooms, sour cream and 1/2 tsp salt. Divide between loafs, spread half in depression of each loaf. cover with the remaining meat mixture, pressing firmly to seal edges.
    4. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour and 15 minutes or till done. Let stand 5 to 10 minutes before removing from pan.


    Final Comments


    Makes 2 meat loaves, 6 to 7 servings each.
