Stroganoff Meat Loaf
List of Ingredients
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 1 1/3 cups milk
- 1 cup quick-cooking rolled oats
- 3/4 cup chopped onion
- 1 T Worcestershire sauce
- 2 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp pepper
- 3 lbs ground beef
- 3 (4 oz) cans chopped mushrooms, drained (you can use fresh mushrooms)
- 1 cup sour cream
Instructions
- In large bowl, combine eggs and milk. Stir in oats, onion, Worcestershire sauce, salt and pepper. Add beef; mix well.
- Pat about 1/4 meat mixture into two 8" x 4" loaf pans. Make a shallow depression lengthwise down center.
- In small bowl, combine mushrooms, sour cream and 1/2 tsp salt. Divide between loafs, spread half in depression of each loaf. cover with the remaining meat mixture, pressing firmly to seal edges.
- Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour and 15 minutes or till done. Let stand 5 to 10 minutes before removing from pan.
Final Comments
Makes 2 meat loaves, 6 to 7 servings each.
