Creamy Macaroni and Cheese

- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 quart milk
- 1 (8-ounce) package cream cheese, softened
- 1 1/2 cups shredded Parmesan cheese, divided
- 2 cups shredded Mozzarella cheese
- 1 (16-ounce) package elbow macaroni, cooked
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°.
- In a large heavy saucepan, melt butter over low heat on stovetop. Whisk in flour until smooth. Cook, stirring constantly, for 1 minute.
- Gradually whisk in milk. Cook over medium heat, whisking constantly, until mixture is thickened and bubbly, about 20 minutes. Remove from heat.
- Add cream cheese, 1 cup Parmesan cheese, and Mozzarella cheese; stir.
- Add macaroni to cheese mixture; stir. Spoon into a lightly greased 9-x-13-x-2-inch baking dish. Sprinkle with remaining Parmesan cheese.
- Bake for 30 minutes, or until top is lightly browned.
