Jerk Chicken

Recipe Introduction
Jerk means Jamaican barbecue. This can be served with rice, beans or pasta. Or just make a sandwich out of it.
List of Ingredients
- 6 green onions, chopped
- 1 onion, chopped
- 1 minced jalapeno
- 3/4 cup soy sauce
- 1/2 cup distilled white vinegar
- 1/4 cup vegetable oil
- 2 T brown sugar
- 1 T chopped fresh thyme
- 1/2 tsp ground cloves
- 1/2 tsp ground nutmeg
- 1/2 tsp ground allspice
- 1 1/2 lbs skinless, boneless chicken breast halves
Instructions
- In a food processor, combine the green onions, onion, jalapeno, soy sauce, vinegar, vegetable oil, brown sugar, thyme, cloves, nutmeg and allspice. Mix for about 15 seconds.
- Place the chicken in a medium bowl, and cover with the marinade mixture. Refrigerate for 4 to 6 hours, or overnight.
- Preheat an outdoor grill for high heat, and lightly oil grate.
- Cook chicken on the prepared grill until no longer pink and juices run clear.
