Roast chicken with Asian flavors

List of Ingredients
- 3/4 cup hoisin sauce
- 3/4 cup Chinese rice wine (Shaoxing wine)
- 1/3 cup soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons grated fresh ginger
- 2 tablespoons fresh lime juice
- 2 tablespoons packed brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon minced fresh mint
- 1 tablespoon Asian sesame oil
- 1 1/2 teaspoons Chinese five-spice powder
- One 3- to 4-pound chicken, cut into 8 pieces
Instructions
- Combine all ingredients except chicken in large bowl. Stir well. Add chicken pieces and coat well with marinade. Let stand at room temperature 30 minutes.
- Preheat oven to 450 degrees. Place chicken in baking dish, skin side up. Transfer marinade to small saucepan, bring to boil over medium heat, and cook 5 minutes. Bake chicken, basting occasionally with marinade, until chicken is opaque throughout.
