Recipe Introduction
The short simmering time in this chili recipe keeps the turkey breast meat very tender and flavorful.
List of Ingredients
- 1 tsp oil
- 1 1/2 lb uncooked boneless skinless turkey breast, cut into bite-sized pieces
- 1 cup chopped onions
- 2 (14 1/2 oz) cans read-to-serve chicken broth with 1/3 less sodium
- 1 (6 oz) can no-salt-added tomato paste
- 2 (15.5 oz) cans great northen beans, drained*
- 2 (4.5 oz) cans chopped green chiles, undrained
- 1 tsp cumin
Instructions
- Heat oil in Dutch oven over medium-high heat until hot. Add turkey and onions; cook and stir until turkey is no longer pink.
- Stir in all remaining ingredients. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat to low; simmer 10 to 15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Final Comments
8 (1 1/4 cups) servings
*One 19 oz can of cannellini beans can be used in palce of the two 15.5 oz cans of great northen beans.
