Recipe Introduction

It is light and not TOO sweet, just perfect! I added l cup more flour and divided dough into 2 balls (after dough cycle was complete) and let rise, covered, for an hour (until doubled) in 2-8in. cake pans. Baked at 350 for 25 minutes. When cooled, I sliced in half, (to form another layer). I froze this to pack with lunchmeat and cheese at a later date.
List of Ingredients
1 C. warm water
5 T. white sugar
3 C. all-purpose flour
3/4 tsp. salt
2 T. powdered milk
2 T. instant potato flakes
3 tsp. yeast
1/4 tsp. vanilla extract
1/4 tsp. lemon extract
2 eggs
4 T. butter or margarineRecipe
Preheat oven to 350°F.
Measure ingredients into the bread machine in the order suggested by the machine's manufacturer. Set machine for dough.
Place dough in a 9- x 5-inch loaf pan. Bake for 30 minutes. Crust should be golden and bread should sound hollow when thumped.
This recipe yields a 2 pound loaf.
Comments: Flavorful, light sweet bread that is great by itself, or for French toast and summer sandwiches.
