    List of Ingredients




    1 lb (1/2" thick) boneless sirloin steak)
    1/2 lb. sliced fresh mushrooms
    1 clove garlic, crushed
    3 tbsp. butter or margarine, melted
    2 tbsp. all purpose flour
    3 tbsp. dry sherry
    1 tbsp. lemon juice
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    1 10 1/2-oz. can beef consomme
    1 8-oz. carton sour cream
    Hot cooked noodles
    Garnish: fresh parsley sprigs

    Partially freeze steak. Slice steak diagonally across grain into 3 x 1/4" strips and set aside.

    Cook mushrooms, onion, and garlic in butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat until browned, stirring often. Add flour and next 4 ingredients, stirring well. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer 15 minutes, stirring occasionally.

    Stir in sour cream. Cook until thoroughly heated (do not boil).

    Serve over noodles. Garnish with parsley.

    Makes 4 servings.

    NOTE: To make Parslied Noodles, just toss 3 cups hot cooked medium egg noodles with 2 tbsp. butter and 1 tbsp. chopped parsley.
