    List of Ingredients




    salt and pepper to taste
    1/2 cup all- purpose flour
    4 pounds beef pot roast
    1 1/2 Tablespoons oil
    2 onions -- chopped
    1/2 cup water
    1/4 cup ketchup
    1/3 cup beef broth
    1 clove garlic -- minced
    1/4 teaspoon dry mustard
    1/4 teaspoon marjoram
    1/4 teaspoon dried rosemary
    1/4 teaspoon dried thyme
    1 bay leaf
    8 ounces canned slice mushrooms, not drained

    Recipe



    Add salt and pepper to flour and coat roast well.

    Heat oil in a Dutch oven. When hot add roast and brown on all sides.

    Add onions and continue to cook for a few more minutes.

    Add remaining ingredients, except mushrooms.

    Cover and bake at 350° for 2-1/2 hours.

    Add mushrooms and their liquid. Cover and cook for another 30 minutes
