    1 pound ground pork sausage
    12 slices sandwich bread
    9 large eggs
    3 cups milk
    2 cups grated sharp cheddar cheese
    1 1/2 teaspoons dry mustard
    1/2 teaspoon salt

    Recipe



    Dice the bread slices into small cubes. Place the bread cubes in an even layer into the bottom of a greased 13" X 9" X 2" baking pan. Mix the eggs, milk, cheese, sausage, dry mustard and salt. Pour over bread cubes. Cover tightly with plastic food wrap and refrigerate for 12 hours or overnight. The next day bake at 350°F for 40 to 45 minutes, uncovered, or until bubbly.

    Can sprinkle with chopped fresh chives either prior to baking, or before serving-if desired.
