    List of Ingredients




    German chocolate cake mix, mixed according to package directions
    1 stick margarine
    1 bag caramels
    1 can sweetened condensed milk, NOT evaporated
    1 cup chocolate chips
    1 cup chopped nuts OR Spanish peanuts

    Recipe



    Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease and flour 9 x 13 – inch pan.
    Melt margarine, caramels, and sweetened condensed milk.
    POUR ½ cake batter into prepared pan. Bake 15 minutes.
    SPREAD caramel mixture. Then a layer of chocolate chips, followed by nuts OR peanuts.
    POUR remaining cake mixture over the filling.
    BAKE 20 minutes. Cool.
    SIFT powdered sugar on top, if desired
