    24 cupcakes (2 doz)

    38 OREO Chocolate Sandwich Cookies, divided
    1 (18.25 oz) pkg devil's food cake mix
    1 (16 oz) container chocolate frosting
    black string licorice
    jelly beans
    semi-sweet chocolate chips
    black licorice whip


    Recipe



    Coarsely chop 14 cookies.

    Prepare cake mix batter according to pkg directions; stir in chopped cookies. Spoon batter into 24 - 2-1/2" paper-lined muffin cups.

    Bake in 350ºF oven 20 mins until wooden toothpick inserted near centers comes out clean. Remove from pans; cool on wire racks.

    To make cat faces: On each of the remaining 24 cookies use frosting to attach 4 - 1-1/2" licorice strings for whiskers, 2 jelly bean halves for eyes & 2 chocolate chips for ears. Let set at least 30 mins.

    Frost cupcakes with remaining frosting. Stand cat faces on edge of each cupcake. Place 3" piece licorice whip on back 1/2 of each cupcake for tail.
