    16 cupcakes

    FILLING:
    2 (3 oz each=6 oz) pkgs cream cheese, softened
    1/4 cup granulated sugar
    1 large egg
    1/8 tsp salt
    1 cup (6 oz pkg) Nestle Toll House Semi-Sweet Chocolate Morsels, divided

    CUPCAKES:
    1/2 cup Nestle Toll House Semi-Sweet Chocolate Morsels, reserved from 6 oz pkg
    1-1/2 cups all purpose flour
    1 tsp baking soda
    1/2 tsp salt
    1/2 cup granulated sugar
    1/3 cup vegetable oil
    1 large egg
    1 tsp pure vanilla extract
    1 cup water
    confectioners' sugar

    FILLING:

    In med bowl, combine cream cheese, sugar, egg & salt; beat until creamy. Stir in 1/2 cup morsels. Set aside.

    CUPCAKES:

    Preheat oven to 350ºF. Line 16 cupcake pans with paper baking cups.

    Over hot, not boiling, water - melt remaining 1/2 cup morsels; stir until smooth. Remove from heat; set aside.

    In small bowl, combine flour, baking soda & salt; set aside.

    In large bowl, combine sugar, vegetable oil, egg & vanilla extract; beat well. Stir in melted morsels. Alternately & gradually beat in flour mixture with water. Spoon 1/2 the batter into 16 paper-lined cupcake pans. Spoon 1 slightly rounded tblsp Filling over batter. Spoon remaining batter over Filling.

    Bake 23-25 mins until test done. Cool 5 mins; remove from pans. Cool completely on wire racks. Sprinkle with confectioners' sugar, if desired.
