List of Ingredients
1 yellow cake mix
1/2 c. butter flavored crisco
1/2 c. orange juice
4 eggs
1 t. vanilla
11 oz. Can mandarin oranges, drained
FROSTING:
1 pkg. (3.4 oz.) instant vanilla pudding
10 oz. Crushed pineapple, drained but SAVE juice
1/2 c. powdered sugar
1 t. vanilla
8 oz. Cool whip
Recipe
For cake: Cream cake mix, butter flavored crisco, & orange juice. Add eggs, one at a time. Add vanilla. Beat 4 minutes. Drain oranges and add to batter. Beat only until blended. Pour into a 13 x 9 baking pan that has been sprayed with a non-stick cooking spray.
Bake 30 minutes at 350 or until a toothpick inserted in the middle of the cake comes out clean.
For Frosting: Drain pineapple in a bowl. Mix pineapple juice with pudding mix. Add powdered sugar, vanilla and pineapple. Mix well. Gently fold in cool whip. Spread on cool cake. Store in refrigerator.
