Blueberry Pudding Cake

List of Ingredients
2 cups of fresh or frozen blueberries
thawed and well drained( used the whole pint)( Fresh)
1 tsp lemon juice( did not use)
1 tsp cinn
Toss all together and place in a buttered 8" square dish( I used a deep dish pie plate and it worked fine)Be sure it is a deep dish
3/4 cups of sugar( used 1/2)
1 cup of flour
1 tsp baking powder
1/2 cup milk
3 Tbs butter
Recipe
Combine the sugar, flour and baking powder. Mix then add the milk and butter. Pour over the blueberries.
Topping ( Mix all and sprinkle over the batter)
3/4 cup of sugar( used 1/3 cup)
1 Tbs of cornstartch
This is the odd part
Pour 1 cup of boiling water over the whole cake~ It works~
I eliminated (1 tsp) of the hot water and added (1 tsp) of almond extract to the water. Bake at 350 for 50 minutes( true time)
The batter does not spread while baking nor does it sink. I used a spatula to spread out the batter covering all of the blueberies.~
