List of Ingredients
1-¾ cups unsifted all purpose flour
2 cups sugar
¾ cup Hershey’s cocoa
1-½ teaspoons baking soda
1-½ teaspoons baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
2 eggs
1 cup milk
½ cup vegetable oil
2 teaspoons vanilla
1 cup boiling water
Recipe
Preheat oven to 350 degrees, Grease and flour 2 – 9-inch, 3 – 8-inch, OR 1 – 13 x 9 –inch pan(s).
Combine dry ingredients in mixing bowl. Add remaining ingredients EXCEPT boiling water. Beat at medium speed 2 minutes. Stir in boiling water (batter will be thin). Pour into prepared pans.
BAKE:
8-inch OR 9-inch layers – 30 to 35 minutes, or until toothpick inserted comes out clean
13 x 9-inch - 35 to 40 minutes, or until toothpick inserted comes out clean
Cool 10 minutes. Remove from pans, Cool completely.
