    List of Ingredients




    1/2 cup butter
    2 eggs (1 whole and 2 yolks)
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 cup buttermilk
    2 cups sugar
    2 cups sifted cake flour
    2 tsp. vanilla

    1/2cup cocoa powder mixed with 1/2 cups boiling water and 1/2 tsp soda mixed with another 1/2 cup boiling water

    Cream butter and sugar, add eggs and beat. Add flour and milk alternate then add cocoa mixture mix well. Add soda and water and vanilla. Mix well. This is a very liquid mix. Don't add more flour.
    Bake in 2 layers at 350 for 30 minute or done. THis is a wonder cake she did for the pillsbury cook off back the the late 50's or early 60's. This was my aunt. We frost with 7 minute frosting but good with any.
