    Posted by: kaykev I have never made one but I tried this recipe and it does taste just like pie! I have made this for church functions and have been asked for the recipe. They can't believe it is made with a cake mix!

    List of Ingredients




    1 yellow cake mix
    1 egg
    1/2 c melted butter
    1-1/2 c light corn syrup
    3 eggs
    1/2 c dark brown sugar, packed
    1 tsp vanilla
    1 to 2 c chopped pecans

    Recipe



    Mix cake mix, 1 egg, & melted butter until well blended. Reserve 2/3 cup of this batter. Spread the rest into a greased & floured 9X13" pan and bake ar 325 degree for 15 min or until slightly browned. Mix reserved batter with syrup, 3 eggs, brown sugar, vanilla pecans. Pour this on top of crust & cook about 50-60 min.
