Posted by: CookieCarol****I was looking through an old cookbook that belonged to my Grandma. It is one of those Extension Cookbooks and was made in 1956. It is a well loved cookbook, one of those where the pages fly out and the book has to be held together with rubber bands.
I found this Mock (mock??) Peanut Brittle recipe....
List of Ingredients
1 cup sugar
1 cup corn syrup
1 cup peanut butter
8 cups corn flakes
Recipe
Heat sugar and corn syrup to boiling. Add peanut butter and stir until well mixed. Pour over corn flakes and mix to coat. Pour onto greased cookie sheet, cut into squares.
Peanut, coconut, or whatever can be added.
