List of Ingredients
cucumbers, sliced (slice enough to fill a one gallon ice cream bucket about 3/4 full)
6 small onions, chopped
3 cups white vinegar
3 cups sugar
1/3 cup salt
1/2 tsp tumeric powder
1 tsp celery seed
Recipe
Place cucumbers and onions in a one gallon ice cream bucket. Mix vinegar, sugar, salt and seasonings together. Pour over cucumbers and onions. Mix well. Cover and store in refrigerator. Stir each day for 3 days. Wait at least 3 days before eating. Pickles keep a very, very long time.
Makes approximately 1 gallon of pickles.
