    Posted by: cowgirl_In***********A friend gave this recipe to me. She is in her 60's. She got it from her mother. It came from an old Farm Bureau cookbook.

    List of Ingredients




    6 cups water
    2 cups vinegar
    1/2 cup salt

    Recipe



    Mix together. Bring to a boil.
    Heat jars. Place sliced cucumbers in hot jars. Pour hot mixture over cucumbers. To each jar add 1/2 t. dill, pinch alum, 1 bulb garlc (not the whole clove)
    Heat lids and rings. Place lids and rings on jars and seal. Put under a towel until cool. Wait 2-3 weeks before eating.

    Do not cold pack. She makes these all the time and has never cold packed them. Said it will make them soft.
