List of Ingredients
1/2 cup butter or margarine, softened
1/3 cup sugar
1 cup flour
3 tsp vanilla, divided(may want to use a little less)
2/3 cup chopped pistachios
4-8-oz packages of cream cheese
1-1/2 cups of sugar( ouch~)
12-oz package of semisweet chocolate mini morsels
Recipe
Beat the butter until creamy, add 1/3 cup of sugar. Beat well. Gradually add the flour( use low speed) Stir in 1 tsp of the vanilla and the pistachios. Press into the bottom and 1-1/2" up the sides of a 9" springform pan. Bake at 350 for 12-15 minutes. Cool. Beat cream cheese until light and fluffy, gradually add the sugar.( you really can use way less)Beat well. Add the eggs one at a time. Stir in remaining 2 tsp vanilla.( Do Not Overmix)Pour 1/2 of the batter over the cooled crust.Sprinkle with the chocolate morsels to within 3/4" of the edge. Pour over remaining batter. Starting at the outer edge and working towards the center.
Place the cheesecake on a baking sheet. Bake at 350 for 1 hour. Cool on a wire rack for 1 hour.
Can serve slightly warm~
Instructions for eating a piece of this cake~ Work you tail off all day. Breakfast an orange~ lunch a salad~ Skip dinner ~ Go right for the dessert~ Take your good ole time and savor every bite. After waiting all day for this you are allowed to lick your plate~ Wrap up remaining cake, dash out the back door and award your neighbor with an early Christmas present Or immediately freeze!~
