In a large heavy skillet, heat your oil (olive oil or vegetable oil) until it is very hot. Put your chicken pieces in the hot oil and brown on both sides. After the chicken is nicely browned I put it in a 400 degree oven and finish off the cooking. This is a trick I learned on the Rachel Ray 30 Minute Meal program. It comes out great every time.Recipe
if you have pieces of chicken you put a little oil in the pan and have the heat on about like a med flame or if you dont have gas med heat, and cook the chicken on each side for about 3 to 4 minutes on each side.Each side should be nice and golden,also if the juice that comes out of the chicken is clear.Hope that helps.
As the others said. Just do not eat if its pink, be very careful of that. I like to brown mine in butter, or olive oil too. Everyone is different, keep that in mind. Just keep flipping until its brown and looks good to you
