    CRUST:
    1-1/2c all-purpose flour
    1/2c butter, softened
    1/4c firmly packed brown sugar

    TOPPING:
    3/4C sugar
    3/4c dark corn syrup
    3 eggs, slightly beaten
    3T butter, melted
    2tsp vanilla
    1c chopped cashews
    1-1/2c chocolate chips

    Recipe



    Heat oven to 350º.
    Combine all crust ingredients in a small bowl. Mix until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. (I like to use my pastry blender. Can use a mixer on low speed for 1-2 min).

    Press crumbs onto bottom of an ungreased 13x9 baking pan. Bake for 15 min or until lightly browned.

    Meanwhile, stir together sugar, corn syrup, eggs, 3T butter & vanilla in large bowl. Stir in cashews & chocolate chips.

    Spread over hot, patially baked crust. Continue baking for 28-33 min or set. However, do not overbake. Cool completely. Cut into bars. Cover & store in the refrigerator.

    Yield:36 bars
