Posted by: Snowteapots_IA This is the best chocolate chip cookie recipe you have ever triedI tried them and they are super. I have made them BIG! The recipe calls for 1/4 cup of dough per cookie and I "eyeball" it and make them. They taste a lot like the chewy cookies from the Subway restaurant in our town. I'm not sure if they are like yours or not. Use butter in them to make them really good!! I think the margarine is just to watery lately to make good cookies.
List of Ingredients
3/4 cup butter, melted
1 cup packed brown sugar
1/2 cup white sugar
1 egg
1 egg yolk
1 Tblsp. vanilla
2 cups flour
1/2 teas. baking soda
1/2 teas. salt
2 cups milk chocolate chips
Recipe
Cream first six ingredients until real fluffy. Add next three that have been stirred together. (I don't sift them!) Stir chips in by hand. I have also used mini M & M chocolate chips in the recipe.
Bake at 325 degrees for 15 to 17 minutes. Edges will just be turning brown. Remove to cooling rack. Makes 18 cookies - really BIG cookies.
