    List of Ingredients




    1 c. sugar
    1 c. shortening/butter mixed
    3 well beaten eggs
    1 c. hot coffee
    1 c. molasses
    3 tsp soda
    4 c. flour
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1/2 c. chopped nuts
    1/2 c. chopped dates

    Recipe



    Cream Sugar and shortening. Add eggs and molasses. Add soda to hot coffee. Then add flour and coffee mix to batter. Add nuts and dates. Drop by spoon on Greased cookie sheet. Bake at 375 degrees 10 to 12 min.
    *This recipe can be made like a bar and frosted with powdered sugar frosting.
