    1 (4-5 lb) whole roasting chicken
    1 tsp. salt
    2 tsp. paprika
    1 tsp. chili powder
    1 tsp. garlic powder
    2 tsp. black pepper
    1 tsp. onion powder
    1 tsp. dried thyme

    Recipe



    Remove giblets from chicken and discard. Wash the cavity well and dry with paper towels. Tie the chicken wings and legs with cooking string. Combine all the spices in a small bowl and mix well. Rub thoroughly into the skin of chicken, pressing gently. Cover the chicken and refrigerate overnight(I usually don't refrigerate and it turns out fine
