    Mix 1 1/3 c. corn falke crumbs (3 c. corn flakes) with 2 Tb. sugar and 1/4 c. soft butter until mixture is crumbly. Press on bottom and sides of 8" or 9" pie pan, saving out 3 Tb. crumbs to sprinkle on top of pie, if desired. Bake in moderate overn(375ºF.) 8 minutes.

    Variation:
    Follow directions for Cornflake Crumb Crust, sustituting rice cereal flakes for corn flakes.


    Several months ago, I found a recipe on this board that used a Rice Krispy cereal crust. I was so impressed and thought I'd never had one of those before. When I started going through this cookbook to find our personal favorites to post for DorothyR, I had came across this recipe and the proverbial light bulb went on! It'd been so long since I'd made this crust, I had completely forgotten where it was! It truly is a delightful change from graham cracker crusts!
