    2 C all-purpose flour
    1 tsp salt
    1 T sugar
    2/3 C crisco
    5-6 T.ice water

    Whisk dry ingredients together;cut in shortening till mixture looks like small peas [I like to do this with my hands].With fork,stir in ice water 1 T at a time till dough starts to stick together and cleans bowl.Stop!Gather in a ball and divide in half.Roll thin, between 2 sheets of wax paper,peel off top paper and lay over pie pan,peel off other paper and gently fit into 9"pie pan.Trim edges evenly and fold under slightly then pinch around to make attractive border for single crust pie.Pierce all over with fork,including sides,bake briefly [about 5 min] then fill and bake, or for prebaked crust,bake @450'about 12-15 min till golden brown.For double crust pie,trim evenly,fill,then adjust top crust over gently and fold top edges under bottem edge before crimping/pinching around.Bake as directed in recipe.If making single crust pie,place second crust in pie pan,do not prick,and freeze till needed.
    After making a couple,it becomes quite easy and you'll never use "store bought" again.Pat
