    List of Ingredients




    1 1/2 sticks very cold unsalted butter
    3 cups all purpose flour
    1 tsp kosher salt
    1 Tbsp sugar
    1/3 cup very cold Crisco shortening (I used the "no trans-fat" variety - green pkg, I think)
    6-8 Tbsp ice water

    Recipe



    Dice butter and return to frig while you prepare flour mixture. Place flour, salt & sugar in the bowl of a food processor* fitted with steel blade & pulse a few times. Add butter and shortening and pulse 8-12 times until mixture resembles crumbles the size of peas. With machine running, pour water in a couple of tablespoonsful at a time until dough begins to form a ball. Dump out on floured board, roll into a ball and wrap in plastic wrap & place in frig for 30 mins. Then you are ready to go! (My dd does not use a food processor - she does it the old-fashioned way
