    I guess the thing I'm know for in my family is good apple pie. I bag of granny smith apples--pealed and cut in about 1/4 " slices--mix together 1 cup of sugar and 1/4 cup of cinnamon pour over cut apples and let stand til you make crust. Crust-- blend 3 cups of flour-i tsp of salt and 1 1/4 cup of crisco together --than with a fork mix together-- 5 tbls of cold water--I egg and 2 tsp of vinegar--pour over flour mixture and blend to form ball. will actually make enough for three crusts--roll dough out on a floured surface--after you make first crust put in apples and dot with about a tsp of butter in little pieces over the top--roll out second crust --cut slits --maybe 8 or so 1/2 in on top crust--sprinkle a little sugar on top
