List of Ingredients
Bake 425º 55 minutes total
Pastry for 2 crust 9" pie
Fill bottom crust with sliced apples, different varieties…stack them high…they cook down.
Combine & pour over sliced apples:
1 Tb corn starch
1 tsp cinnamon
1/4 tsp salt
3 Tb sugar
3 Tb melted margarine
1/3 cup Karo blue label syrup (Dark)
Cover with top crust, bake 45 min or until crust is lightly browned and apples are tender.
Recipe
Combine & spread over top crust:
1/4 cup brown sugar
2 Tb flour
3 Tb Karo blue
2 Tb softened margarine (not melted)
1/4 cup chopped nuts
Return to oven for 10 minutes or until bubbly. (You will need a pan/foil under pie to catch runoff.)
I omitted the nuts….and I may add a titch more corn starch next time…but not much…
