    List of Ingredients




    For 1 - 9" pie:
    5-6 apples
    1 c. sugar (For tart apples, use the whole cup. If apples are sweet, use less sugar.)
    pinch of salt
    1/2 tsp. cinnamon
    3 Tb. water
    2 Tb. tapioca or more, for thickening (can substitute flour)

    Mix all together and put into pie shell.

    Topping:
    1/4 c. butter
    1/2 c. sugar
    1/2 c. flour

    Recipe



    Mix all together and sprinkle over pie. Put in brown paper bag and bake at 425º for approx. 50 min.

    Now I never did understand what the brown paper bag did for the pie. But those were awesome pies!!!
