Posted by: usaret*******I've always preferred dark corn syrup. I think it's a richer flavor. The following recipe was published in the Army Times in 1973
List of Ingredients
1 ½ cups broken pecans
3 eggs
2 tablespoons melted butter
2 tablespoons all purpose flour
¼ teaspoon vanilla
1/8 teaspoon salt
½ cup sugar
1 ½ cups dark corn syrup
Recipe
Sprinkle pecan pieces into unbaked pie shell. Beat eggs in bowl then add remaining ingredients; mix well and pour over pecans in pie shell. Bake in 425 degree oven for 10 minutes; reduce heat to 325 degrees and bake another 40 minutes
