Posted by: Goldybear**********I made this pie this weekend using the one Cittie posted sometime back. It was delicious. I had to take it a step further and add a cream cheese base
List of Ingredients
1 frozen or homemade pie shell (9 inch) (I used a Keebler crust)
1 jar (16 ounces) blueberry jam or fruit spread (I used 1/2 of a 19 oz. jar of Amish-made blueberry preserves)
1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
2 cups fresh blueberries(I used at least 3)
Sweetened whipped cream or vanilla ice cream (as needed)Recipe
Following package or recipe directions, prebake pie shell; cool. In a microwaveable dish, combine blueberry jam and cinnamon. Microwave on high until mixture liquefies, about 1minute. Stir in fresh blueberries. Spoon blueberry mixture into prepared shell. Chill. Serve with whipped cream or vanilla ice cream.
To make it a cream cheese pie, i whipped together 1-8 oz. block of softened cream cheese with a little 1/2 & 1/2 and some powdered sugar. I put this on the bottom of the pie before adding the blueberries.
I will make this again whenever i have access to fresh blueberries (not store bought). My company ate every crumb!
