Posted by: gratefulservant_AZ*********I only used 1 can of cut green beans (because dish wouldn't hold too). The seasoning is just perfect.tossing all my other recipes :-)**********This is awesome.........I have also used Splenda in place of sugar if that is a concern.....works great!!
I leave the onion and bell pepper in thinly sliced strips about the size of the green beans
List of Ingredients
1 can French-style green beans (I use 2 cans of cut green beans)
1 can wax beans
1 can kidney beans
1/2 cup onion, thinly sliced
1/2 of a large green pepper, thinly sliced
1/2 cup salad oil
1/2 cup vinegar
3/4 cup sugar
1 tsp. salt (I use less)
1/2 tsp. pepper, freshly ground
Recipe
Drain beans; rinse kidney beans. In large bowl, combine beans, onion, and green pepper. Combine remaining ingredients, mix well; pour over beans mixture. Toss carefully. Let stand in refrigerator overnight to chill and marinate. Note: I use a Tupperware bowl with a tight fitting lid, invert the bowl, and place in frig to marinate the salad from the top.
Serves: 8-10
I love three bean salad also but I use gabazona beans (chick peas) in place of the wax beans
The only difference is the addition of corn.
