    List of Ingredients




    1 1/2 lbs. ground beef
    1 egg, slightly beaten
    1/2 c. dry bread crumbs
    1 sm. potato, finely chopped (1/2 c.)
    1 sm. onion, chopped (1/4 c.)
    1/4 c. milk
    1 tbsp. parsley
    1 tsp. salt

    Recipe



    Mix these ingredients together.
    Shape into 1 1/2-inch meatballs.
    Cook meatballs in small amount of oil until light brown; drain.

    Add
    1 qt. whole tomatoes
    1 (10 1/2 oz.) can condensed beefbroth
    2 c. water
    4 carrots (peeled and sliced)
    2 potatoes (peeled and cubed)
    1 stalk celery (chopped)
    1/4 c. parsley
    1 env. dry onion soup mix
    1/2 tsp. dried basil leaves
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    1 bay leaf

    Mix tomatoes (with liquid) and remaining ingredients in large pot. Heat to a boil; reduce heat. Cover and simmer 30 minutes, stirring occasionally. (Or use a crock pot.) Add meatballs; cover and simmer 20 minutes
