Another good site if you also need to loose weight is:

Here you can plan your day around the calories you are on and also by the servings your own nutritionist wants you to have.
It enables you to put it all together in a balanced way, one meal at a time, and add more where ever needed if you are short. It is a little slow though, totaling each entry one at a time. My nutritionist loved this when she saw it. Previously she gave me the following one, which has a lot of good info in it:

Thought it was very interesting and now know why my doctor wants my glucose below a 100. This article is put out by Mary Greeley Medical Center in Ames, Iowa.
As hard as it is at first, one must change their diet. A low fat, no sugar type with lots of veggies, chicken, fish, some beef, limited bread, pasta and bascially all the goodies we all so desire. Whole wheat bread digests better, than white and is alot better for you. Sweet potato verus a white potato.
I am prediabetic and being treated with Metforim. When first diagnosed 3 years ago, my BP was very high and didn't respond to meds. This is how the Dr. discovered the diabetes.
You DH needs to eat regularly with a few snacks in between meals. I have to watch the amount of fruit I eat too, or that causes problems too. Especially if I eat too much watermelon, which I love.
Exercise and diet are the key, but I suggest your DH find out from a doctor was is going on, talk to a Nutritionist and get a diet plan. It is a lifestyle change, and he might have to plan his meals and snacks a little more. If your DH is prediabetic, a diet change might really help him and that can be found easily enough with a blood test. I feel the best eating small meals, several times a day.
It is hard, I know as I was devasted when I learned about being prediabetic, but now I take it in stride, watch my diet and try to eat healthy. I am not real big into exercise either or like I should. LOL I like to walk and you do benefit from a short daily walk
FIBER. Try to remind him to boost his fiber. This should help both. He has to make choices while on the road to eat as healthy as he can. However both can be managed with medication. If he needs a snack to take with him make some oatmeal rasin cookies with splenda for baking, or cut up some fruit.
1/2 tsp cinnamon daily/
