    Muffins That Taste Like Donuts

    1 3/4 cups flour
    1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
    1/2 teaspoon salt
    1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
    1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
    1 egg
    1/3 cup oil
    3/4 cup sugar
    3/4 cup milk
    1/2 cup butter
    3/4 cup sugar
    1 teaspoon cinnamon

    Recipe



    1. In a large bowl, combine the first five ingredients and set aside.

    2. In another bowl, combine egg, oil sugar and milk. Mix slightly. Add wet ingredient to dry, and stir only to combine (do not overmix!) Fill muffin tins 2/3 full and bake at 350°F for 20 - 25 minutes

    3. Meanwhile, melt 1/2 cup butter and set aside.

    4. Combine 3/4 cup sugar and 1 tsp cinnamon in another bowl and set aside.

    5. Take muffins out, and while they're still hot, dip in melted butter and then in cinnamon sugar mixture.
